About Me
A little about me
After gaining an MSc in chemistry at the University of British Columbia, I spent 14 years working in academic publishing in Oxford. I had a variety of jobs with Pergamon Press, Butterworth-Heinemann and Elsevier, starting off as a sub-editor and proof-reader and moving on to managing journals and commissioning books. I worked in the areas of materials science, engineering, chemistry and health sciences and established networks of contacts in these areas.
In 2004, I became a freelancer and studied part-time for an MSc in science communication at the University of the West of England in Bristol.
I now write news and feature articles plus press releases on a variety of scientific and technical topics.
Member of the Association of British Science Writers.
